Frack Hack Tutorial by Manhattan Nest

Hello World!

I have wanted to make some videos to show you how to do some basic DIY lighting, but I have determined it’s just not going to happen right now. I found this DIY on Pinterest and fell in love; I have decided to share my favorite tutorials instead.

These bedside reading lamps are so cool, they are very affordable and the project is super simple! I hate it when I don’t have enough room on my nightstand for the things I like to keep close at night. Book lovers will also love this project, it will free up space for more books! It starts with this classic IKEA FRÄCK bathroom mirror, it costs $4.99 (no way!) (yes way!!!). The best news is, it cost less than $20 per lamp!! I have included some photos for you to see the progression and the finished product. I won’t go into too much detail because I am including the link to the tutorial creator Manhattan Nest, he is amazing so let’s not try to reinvent the wheel….

If you do make this, please come back and share some photos and your opinion on the tutorial! Manhattan Nest would appreciate a nod also! Thanks in advance…we would love to here from you!!

VintageHaus and his HOT creation, this Art Deco Key Chandelier!

Hello World!

I have wanted to share something with you, sorry it has taken me so long to get back to you! I would like for you guys to meet Ben Wolfe from Cleveland Ohio, he is the design/creator of one of my favorite chandeliers (Art Deco Industrial Key Chandelier). I fell in love with it on Pinterest and since everyone isn't on Pinterest (you know who you are...lol), I thought I would share it with you today! Ben owns the VintageHaus Shop on Etsy, he offers a variety of cool vintage items and those gorgeous key chandeliers I told you about (see below). He is working hard to make more right now, he sold his last one already. He is also working on a similar version with skeleton keys...I want it!!! Also, he is working on designing some similar smaller chandeliers and also sconces at different price points. This sexy lamp was featured on "Offbeat Home & Life" and sold for $375, that is a great price for a one of a kind, handmade piece of "conversation" art!  Go check out VintageHaus ...you will be the envy of all of your friends (including me) that love vintage/industrial/steampunk!! I will write again soon, have some DIY projects that I want to share with you…stay tuned;)

I am in Steampunkin heaven right now!

Hello World!
We are in Steampunkin heaven right now! One of the lamps we designed was a part of Great Stitch's Great Steampunkin Party, and is going to be in Carousel Magazine! Here is the link if you would like to take a look, and also check out Great Stitch's website, they do custom embroidery and also create parties in case you have a special one coming up! Here are a couple of pics!
